About Us

In late 2006, father and daughter team Christopher Card and Abigail Balmforth combined their resources to form Agenca Limited. This presented the opportunity to offer two streams of recruitment expertise encompassing both construction and clerical requirements.

We hold all relevant insurances and are registered with the Data Protection Agency.

A construction professional, Chris ran his own fit-out company for several years and has been in the construction industry for over 35 in total.

In the last ten years, he has worked for some of the country’s leading construction recruitment specialists before starting Agenca and fulfilling a life-long dream to establish a family business.

After graduating, Abby started her career working in IT recruitment for a prestigious London agency before moving to Human Resources at JP Morgan in Bournemouth.

She has spent her career since then working for public sector organisations and latterly worked as an Executive PA in the NHS.
